On the Melkizedeq Priesthood primacy return; there have been those that seek to impose Jer.33:20-21; 25-26 (and 1’s like them) as some kind of end all gotcha clause.
Jer 33:20 Thus saith YHWH; If ye can break my covenant of the day, and my covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their season; 21 Then may also my covenant be broken with David my servant, that he should not have a son to reign upon his throne; and with the Levites the priests, my ministers.
Jer 33:25 Thus saith YHWH; If my covenant be not with day and night, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth; 26 Then will I cast away the seed of Jacob, and David my servant, so that I will not take any of his seed to be rulers over the seed of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob: for I will cause their captivity to return, and have mercy on them.
What they fail to remember is that;
Amos 3:7 Surely Adonai YHWH will do nothing, but he revealeth his secret unto his servants the prophets. (and this from the beginning – Gen.6:13; 8:17)
They impose such cookie-cut verses as;
Ps 132:11 YHWH hath sworn in truth unto David; he will not turn from it; Of the fruit of thy body will I set upon thy throne.
But forget the proviso “if”
Ps 132:12 **If** thy children will keep my covenant and my testimony that I shall teach them, their children shall also sit upon thy throne for evermore
Ex 19:5 Now therefore, **If** ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth is mine: 6 And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.
And This Pre-Declared Awareness
1Kg 9:5 Then I will establish the throne of thy kingdom upon Israel for ever, as I promised to David thy father, saying, There shall not fail thee a man upon the throne of Israel.
1Kg 9:6 But **if** ye shall at all turn from following me, ye or your children, and will not keep my commandments and my statutes which I have set before you, but go and serve other gods, and worship them:
1Kg 9:7 Then will I cut off Israel out of the land which I have given them; and this house, which I have hallowed for my name, will I cast out of my sight; and Israel shall be a proverb and a byword among all people:
1Kg 9:8 And at this house, which is high, every one that passeth by it shall be astonished, and shall hiss; and they shall say, Why hath YHWH done thus unto this land, and to this house?
1Kg 9:9 And they shall answer, Because they forsook YHWH Elohim, who brought forth their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have taken hold upon other gods, and have worshipped them, and served them: therefore hath YHWH brought upon them all this evil.
It only makes sense that a sovereign “God/Elohim” knowing the end from the beginning; that cannot lie or go back on His Word would have a contingency plan already in place in/for the cases of man’s disobedience for the extending of mercy.
Solomon King of All Israel; David’s son started out being obedient – But – went on to be disobedient and therefore Israel was rent in 2; split between Rehoboam Solomon’s son and Jeroboam (an Ephraimite) made ruler over the house of Joseph by Solomon’s own decree – (1Kgs.11: 26-28; 31-43).
1Kgs.11:28 And the man Jeroboam was a mighty man of valour: and Solomon seeing the young man that he was industrious, he made him ruler over all the charge of the house of Joseph.
1Kgs.11:31 And he said to Jeroboam, Take thee ten pieces: for thus saith YHWH, … of Israel, Behold, I will rend the kingdom out of the hand of Solomon, and will give ten tribes to thee:
But thru the course of time these 2 Kingdoms failed to keep Yah’s Covenant and were taken into captivity; 1st Israel by Assyria and 2nd Judah by Babylon – Israel never came back – Judah did but with many losses, additions and pollutions.
It must be realized that a ‘Kingdom’ has a King while a ‘House’ does not. (1Kg 9:5-7) That is why Yahshua spoke over the ‘House’ of Judah (under Roman occupation).
Mt.23:38 Behold, your house is **left** unto you desolate (v:37-39 / Lk.13:35)
As in already was – never a Kingdom of Judah ever again since Babylon for the same – Covenant disobedience.
The same goes for the Levitical/Aaronic Priesthood we no Longer have for the same reason.
The ‘House’ of Judah never has reconstituted – Let alone to a Kingdom with a fully functioning, fully operational Levitical/Aaronic Priesthood – We now have Rabbis found nowhere in Torah instead.
However Yahshua’s human lineage does come thru David – He is the only one that does and has always kept the Covenant (Jn.7:16). And is the Melkizedeq High Priest calling us back into that Melkizedeq Priesthood (Ex.19:5-6/1Ptr.2:9).
And this similar to the Torah awareness many Jews, Messianics, Hebrew Roots, Netzirim Israel and anti-Missionaries do all in their power to explain away, to another conclusion or just ignore altogether.
Gen.49:10 The sceptre shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, **until** Shiloh come;… (the 1st time)
For this is inescapable – It is not a change ‘of’ Torah to enact the change ‘in’ Torah that has always been ‘in’ Torah.
Heb 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
This ‘change’ is in the context of Torah – a reversion back to the default Melkizedeq portion of Torah original Gen.49:10 was written, decreed and prophesied under; before the Covenant breach of Ex.32. That brought the Levitical portion of Torah (Num.3:12, Jos.5:5, Ezk.20:24-25, Heb.7:11).
