Sukkot Songs?

Sukkot Songs?

Col 3:16 Let the word of Yahshua dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in *psalms and hymns and spiritual songs*, singing with grace in your hearts to Abba YHWH.

My wife and others have the idea of singing/playing songs usually Yule associated with the Dec. rite that don’t say Xmas, Santa, Deers, Pine Trees, Jolly, Mistletoe, Elfs, Slay, Candy Canes, Blue White Red Green Christmas or any of the other stuff normally associated with Dec. 25; to be played at Sukkot; which is the actual time of Yahshua Messiah’s birth.

The attachment to the time surrounding Dec. 25 is there, it is strong – But it is superficial; certainly not chiselled in stone. The attachment to the time of His Birth is (or should be) the focus and essence of these tunes

Such as;

Joy to the World
What child is this
Mary did you know
O Little Town of Bethlehem

Please feel free to list others

We can all certainly agree that He was born of the virgin Mary
We can all certainly agree that He lived an exemplary life
We can all certainly agree that He died for our sins and redemption
We can all certainly agree that He rose from the dead
We can all certainly agree that He lives for evermore

Who would have more right to these tunes than those that have been saved and washed in the Blood of Yahshua the Lamb – Regenerated in/thru/by His Life and seek to uphold, obey and keep the Covenant?

Please feel free to voice your agreements, acceptions or concerns

May Yah’s Torah Guide us all

  1. The Vineyard of Yahweh – that is a great idea…we have been singing these type of songs at our sukkot banquets and for 8 days that we camp as a fellowship during sukkot for many years now…another one is ” away in a sukkah”…

Answer – The Messiah Yahshua lay down His sweet head o/~ (music note?)

    I Like it!
