Obedience vs Sacrifice
Hosea 6:6 For I desired <chaphets> mercy <checed>, and not sacrifice <zebach>; and the knowledge <da`ath> of Elohim <‘elohiym> more than burnt offerings <`olah>.
7 But they like men <‘adam> have transgressed <`abar> the covenant <b@riyth>: there have they dealt treacherously <bagad> against me.
These verses are speaking about ‘Obedience’ – You say I don’t see that stated in the text. But look closer and understand that there can be no <checed> (loving kindness or ‘mercy’) without a Covenant (Dr. Norman Snaith, The Distinctive Ideas of the Old Testament).
There is no point to speak about ‘Covenant’ or the ‘knowledge of Elohim’ if your intent lacks ‘Obedience’ and if that is not enough; look at v:7. It clearly laments the lack of ‘Obedience’ to ‘the covenant’ in the words – ‘transgressed’, ‘treacherously’, ‘against me’.
The Israelites were to obey the Melkizedeq Covenants YHWH’s Oath (Gen.12), Abraham’s Promise Guarantee (Gen.15), Circumcision – the ‘sign’ of the Covenant (Gen.17), the Melkizedeq Book of the Covenant (Ex.19:5 thru 24:8) – but they did not (Ex.32).
The only 1 to survive the Ex.32 breach was YHWH’s Oath (Gen.12). Heb 6:13 says it this way … because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself… And what most miss; YHWH’s Oath did not involve us – YHWH’s Oath is the only truly ‘unconditional covenant’
There would be others that followed starting with Ex.34 but these would all be under Yah’s Plan ‘B’ breach patch Levitical Priesthood; which was ‘glorious’ – certainly much better than complete annihilation (Ex.32:10)
2Cor 3:11 For if that which is done away was glorious, much more that which remaineth is glorious.
Heb 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law.
Ezk 20:24 Because they had not executed my (Melkizedeq) judgments, but had despised my (Melkizedeq) statutes, and had polluted my (Melkizedeq) sabbaths, and their eyes were after their fathers’ (pagan) idols. 25 Wherefore I gave them also (Levitical) statutes that were not good, and (Levitical) judgments whereby they should not live;
Acts 15:10 Now therefore why tempt ye Yah, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?
What ‘remains’ is the Melkizedeq Priesthood and its Melkizedeq Law, Covenants and Instruction – Yah’s 1st choice – the original – superior – Plan ‘A’
In the words of Matthew Nolan – “the Melkizedeq Priesthood is much more user friendly”
So – Which will you choose? 1] to learn of and obey the Melkizedeq Priesthood under the ‘my burden is light’ Yahshua the Melkizedeq High Priest?, – or – 2] continue to Labor and Sacrifice under the Plan ‘B’ Levitical Priesthood that actually has turned into a version counterfeit perpetrated by the Pharisee/Rabbis
Mt.23:38 “See! Your house (of Judah complete with no legitimate from Torah Levitical Priests in a fully functioning Levitical Priesthood) is left to you desolate;
Adhering to the way it was (including version) – Is not Obeying the genuine way it is.
1Ptr.2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal (Melek – Kingly) priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: (Ex.19:5-6) – The Melkizedeq Priesthood
The ‘Church’ by and large denies any ‘commonwealth of Israel’ involvement in this drama – But read Gen.48:19, Acts 15:19-21, Rom.11:25, Eph.2:11-12, Heb.4:2, etc.
