The Melchizedek Connection

This is actually quite good

“We were very blessed to have Rabbi Matthew Nolan and Pastor Jim Staley join together to deliver this insightful and in-depth teaching on the Melchizedek priesthood and how it relates to YHVH’s (God’s) people today.”
***************************Pastor Jim / Rabbi MatthewI have written 2 books pertaining to the Melchizedek priesthoodBrief Synopsis outline of;

‘The Covenants of Promise’ – Deals with the ‘The Covenants of Promise’ of Eph.2:12. Identifying the Biblical Covenants that attach directly to Abraham’s Promise Covenant of Gen.15. Distinguishing these various Melchizedek Covenants as distinct from Levitical Law. And the caveats involved with these various Melchizedek Covenants – Which involves a Proposal, an Acceptance, a Blood Ratification and a ‘Covenant Confirming Meal’ – Which involves and attaches to Yahweh’s ‘oath’ at Gen.12.

‘Back to the Melchizedek Future’ – Deals with the return to the original Melchizedek Priesthood (1Ptr.2:9). Ex.19:5-6 is the original call to that Melchizedek Priesthood. When the Israelites broke the Covenant with the ‘Gold Calf’ – They had defiled themselves; no longer eligible to be Melchizedek Priests. They were thrust under the Levitical Priesthood (Heb.7:11-12) for the next 15 centuries until Yahshua – the High Priest after the Order of Melchizedek (Heb.7:17; 26).

  1. Since your blog states that you are trying to break from tradition and read what the Torah actually says, I find it puzzling that you attempt to prove the continuation of the Melchizedek priesthood with 2 verses from Exodus that do not even mention Melchizedek. They say that the Jewish People will become a kingdom of priests and a holy nation, but not once does it say anything about the origins of this priesthood, nor does it mention Melchizedek, who is only mentioned in Genesis. Isn’t it better to admit that you simply have a different, no less tradtion-laiden, interpretation of the Bible than I do as an Orthodox Jew?

    • You ID yourself as a Jew – Then understand Prv.25:2 in the context of PaRDeS

      I do want to be sensative to you – I do realize that Jews have been taught in a certain way to respond in like kind – Just as Christians have (altho in a different way to a different set of guidelines)

      Ask yourself what Priesthood was Ex.19:5-6 – Hint – no such thing ever as a Levi/Levitical priesthood at that point

      Ask yourself who was that Priesthood Ex.19:5-6 to – Hint – All Isreal not just the Jews

      Then also realize that no Jew (any non-Levite) after Ex.32 (v:10) can be a priest (Num.3:12)

      Until Yahshua came and changed things legally according to Torah (Gen.49:10/Gal.3:19/Heb.7:12)

  2. Is there any way possible to view the video that you have tethered to this post….both links are saying to the effect that it’s private… can anyone learn something if these are labeled as “private”….Todah Rabah Achi..
