Halakah

This word reportedly in Hebrew meaning ‘the way to walk’ / ‘the way of walking’, etc. is not found in the Bible. It is not found in this context meaning what the Orthodox, Rabbinic, etc. Jews wish to assert. Halakah is yet another example of Rabbinic garnering of scripture to extrapolate a biblical sounding meaning to their own end. Of using/embellishing Scripture to obscure Scripture. Rather ‘Halakah’ identifies/labels “the entire body of Jewish law”;

“Halaka, Halakah, Halachah; the ***entire*** body of Jewish law, comprising Biblical laws, oral laws transcribed in the Talmud, and subsequent codes altering traditional teachings. — Halakist, Halachist, n. — Halakic, adj.” – http://www.thefreedictionary.com/Halaka

“and subsequent codes altering traditional teachings” definitely include other BS (beyond scripture) literary works.

Mk 7:6 He [Yahshua] answered and said unto them, Well hath Esaias prophesied of you hypocrites, as it is written, This people honoureth me with their lips, but their heart is far from me. :7 Howbeit in vain do they worship me, teaching for doctrines the commandments of men. :8 For laying aside the commandment of [Elohim], ye hold the tradition of men, as the washing of pots and cups: and many other such like things ye do. :9 And he said unto them, Full well ye reject the commandment of [Elohim], that ye may keep your own tradition.

Yahshua said; Jn 14:6 … I am the way G3598 hodos, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

G3598 hodos hod-os’
Apparently a primary word; ***a road; by implication a progress (the route, act or distance); figuratively a mode or means: – journey, (high-) way.

Ex 18:20 And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws , and shalt shew them the way <derek> wherein they must walk , and the work that they must do .

01870. Krd derek, deh’-rek
from 1869; ***a road (as trodden); figuratively, a course of life or mode of action, often adverb:–along, away, because of, + by, conversation, custom, (east-)ward, journey, manner, passenger, through, toward, (high-) (path-)way(-side), whither(-soever).
See Hebrew 01869 (darak)

01869. Krd darak, daw-rak’
a primitive root; to tread; by implication, to walk; ***also to string a bow (by treading on it in bending):–archer, bend, come, draw, go (over), guide, lead (forth), thresh, tread (down), walk.

***“also to string a bow (by treading on it in bending):–archer” – becomes of interest in the root-word make up of Torah.

‘Torah’ defined seems to mean the ‘Successive Light of Teaching and Instruction’. It is of interest that there are some modern Bible versions that have actually opted a translation choice from that of the ‘Book of the Law’ to the ‘Book of the Instruction’. This is borne out in the Hebrew root words that make up the word “Torah” or ‘Towrah’.

08447. rwt towr, tore or tor {tore}; from 8446;
a succession, i.e. a string or (abstractly) order:–border, row, turn.

0216. rwa ‘owr, ore
from 215; illumination or (concrete) luminary (in every sense, including lightning, happiness, etc.):–bright, clear, + day, light (-ning), morning, sun.
0215. rwa ‘owr, ore
a primitive root; to be (causative, make) luminous (literally and metaphorically):–X break of day, glorious, kindle, (be, en-, give, show) light (-en, -ened), set on fire, shine.

03384. hry yarah, yaw-raw’
or (2 Chr. 26:15) yara; {yaw-raw’}; a primitive root; properly, to flow as water (i.e. to rain); transitively, to lay or throw ***(especially an arrow, i.e. to shoot); figuratively, to point out (as if by aiming the finger), to teach:–(+) archer, cast, direct, inform, instruct, lay, shew, shoot, teach(-er,-ing), through.

Note: Please notice; that while the Torah implications and purposes of ‘Law’ is somewhat implied, neither the definition ‘of’ or ‘as’ Law … nor the word “Law” … nor for that matter the word “Covenant” appear.

Mat 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way G3598 hodos , which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.

the way G3598 hodos – is = to – the way H1870 <derek>

Ex 18:20 And thou shalt teach them ordinances and laws , and shalt shew them the way wherein they must walk <derek> , and the work that they must do .

03212. Kly yalak, yaw-lak’
a primitive root (compare 1980); to walk (literally or figuratively); causatively, to carry (in various senses):–X again, away, bear, bring, carry (away), come (away), depart, flow, + follow(-ing), get (away, hence, him), (cause to, made) go (away, -ing, -ne, one’s way, out), grow, lead (forth), let down, march, prosper, + pursue, cause to run, spread, take away ((-journey)), vanish, (cause to) walk(-ing), wax, X be weak.
See Hebrew 01980 (halak)

01980. Klh halak, haw-lak’
akin to 3212; a primitive root; to walk (in a great variety of applications, literally and figuratively):–(all) along, apace, behave (self), come, (on) continually, be conversant, depart, + be eased, enter, exercise (self), + follow, forth, forward, get, go (about, abroad, along, away, forward, on, out, up and down), + greater, grow, be wont to haunt, lead, march, X more and more, move (self), needs, on, pass (away), be at the point, quite, run (along), + send, speedily, spread, still, surely, + tale-bearer, + travel(-ler), walk (abroad, on, to and fro, up and down, to places), wander, wax, (way-)faring man, X be weak, whirl.

Conclusion – YHWH’s <derek> is the way for Yah obedient Torah Keepers to walk out salvation NOT Rabbinic ‘Halakah’

Gen 18:19 For I {YHWH} know him {Abraham}, that he will command his children and his household after him, and they shall keep the way <derek> of YHWH, to do justice and judgment; that YHWH may bring upon Abraham that which he hath spoken of him.

One New Man

Shalom
Just a general observation – There are some groups speaking more of the concept of the ‘One New Man’. If we say ‘One New Man’ – This is a fresh start – this is an opportunity; to make things right, true and correct – to make the way straight – to prepare the way of our King. Shouldn’t we sift thru all Church and Rabbinic values to see if they are indeed biblical? If they are indeed current? Rather than ‘Reviving’ to some point of presumed lesser error? Or continuing on with values &/or errors or from the past? The Bible speaks of the ‘straight way’, the ‘narrow’ gate, the ‘few that find it’, the ‘little flock’, the ‘remnant’ and the ‘elect’ – sounds like a pretty small group. We are to be on that ‘straight way’ neither turning to the right or the left. We must realize that there is a Church ditch on one side and a Rabbinic ditch on the other.

That ‘Rabbinic ditch’ includes a Levitical Priesthood mindset that now permeates most those that claim to be Torah Observant – including Hebrew Roots, Messianic Judaism/Israel, Netzraim Israel, etc.

Tell me what do you do with all the verses that attest to the ‘change’ – the ‘abolition’ of the Law? (the Book of the Law Gal.3:10 not the Melchizedek Law contained before and in the Book of the Covenant Ex.19:5 thru 24:8 laterally Gen.1:1 thru Ex.24:8-11)

Act 15:10 Now therefore why tempt ye Yah, to put a yoke upon the neck of the disciples, which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?

2Cor 3:13 And not as Moses, which put a vail over his face, that the children of Israel could not stedfastly look to the end of that which is **abolished**:

Gal 3:18 For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but Yah gave it to Abraham by promise.

Gal 3:19 Wherefore then serveth the law? (Book of the Law v:10) It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come … (= Gen.49:10 ‘until’)

Eph 2:15 Having **abolished** in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments **contained in ordinances**; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; (NOT **contained in Covenant v:12)

Col 2:14 Blotting out the handwriting of **ordinances** that was ‘against us’ (Dt.31:26), which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; (individual sin debts are not ‘contrary’ to the corporate ‘us’ it was the corporate body of ‘ordinances’ = – law – a decree of law not a ruling of debt)

Heb 7:12 For the priesthood being changed, there is made of necessity a change also of the law

Heb 8:7 For if that first covenant had been faultless, then should no place have been sought for the second.

Heb 8:13 In that he saith, A new covenant, he hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.

Heb 9:9 Which was a figure for the time then present, in which were offered both gifts and sacrifices, that could not make him that did the service perfect, as pertaining to the conscience;
Heb 9:10 Which stood only in meats and drinks, and divers washings, and carnal ordinances, **imposed** on them **until** the time of **reformation.
(reformation = Messianic restoration = Gen.49:10 ‘until’)

Heb 10:9 Then said he, Lo, I come to do thy will, O Yah. He **taketh away the first, that he may establish the second**.
Heb 10:10 By the which will we are sanctified through the offering of the body of Yahshua Messiah once for all.

So; what was it about the 1st Covenant that was ‘unbearable, added, abolished, imposed, taken away, change of law, ready to vanish away, taken out of the way – “that he may establish the second**” ???

Answer? – The 1st included the ‘added’. “imposed” Book of the Law that must be dealt with – that must be reconciled – that must be vacated – that must be “taken out of the way” (note this does not include the Covenant that was agreed to – pre -Ex.19:7; post – 24:7 like a modern day contract)

Eph 2:16 And that he might reconcile both unto Yah in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: (“both” – the law and the one new man v:15)

Doesn’t it make sense that if you are going to make a convert; it is with the purpose of making a Disciple? Doesn’t it also make sense that if you are going to make a Disciple; you do so with the view of making him as light and fleet of foot as possible? Yes there are Melkizedeq laws that are in place and need to be taught; that include the 10 Com’dts, the Feastdays, etc. taught between Gen.1:1 and Ex.24:8 (with few NC/NT provisos).

Not loaded down with Levitical & Rabbinic do’s & don’ts; that include error imaginations

1Ptr 2:9 But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:

If you are going to talk One New Man you will have to include the Melkizedeq Priesthood.

Bible Believers

I pray we can all agree that; – Anything worth doing is worth doing right. That the Bible as Yahweh’s instruction is no different. That; Honesty is the language of Love – That there is no Love without Honesty – That there is no relationship without Love. That the Bible reveals;

2Jn.1:6 This is love, that we walk according to His commandments… – And that;

Jn.7:16 Yahshua [Jesus] answered them, and said, My doctrine is not mine, but His that sent Me.

Further – That Yahshua Messiah [Christ] died for you – to be able to have that Honest Love Relationship. That the most Loving Relationship building response you can offer is to be Honest.

Acts 15:19-21 is the clearest New Testament directive that all Believers are to be learning the words of Moses who wrote Torah. Meaning – that if we want to learn of/about/to imitate Yahshua we will learn what Moses in Torah said. Yahshua did Himself say;

Jn.5:46 “For if you believed Moses, you would believe Me; for he wrote about Me.”

And we know that;

1Sa 15:22 …Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to hear than the fat of rams. [Mat.9:13]

Many who profess to believe the Bible go to Church on Sunday. Please honestly consider that there is no biblical command, directive or suggestion to assemble on Sunday. Please honestly consider that the 7th Day Sabbath was never rescinded, abolished or changed.

Yahweh NEVER changes: Malachi 3:6 “For I am YHWH, I change not;… (Jms.1:17)

http://www.sabbathtruth.com, http://www.biblesabbath.org/confessions.html, http://www.cbcg.org/romes_challenge.htm

Please honestly consider that; I raised as a Sunday Keeper learned at Sunday Church that ‘the Sabbath AND the Feastdays either stand or fall together. It just so happens that according to Lev.23 that assertion is absolutely correct. Of course the Sunday Church turns their back on that entire Weekly-Annual from Yahweh calendar opting for their own (Catholic/Protestant) Sunday – Holiday calendar.

Sabbath only Christians do keep the weekly 7th Day Sabbath – But – Keep the (Catholic / Protestant) annual Holiday calendar of the Sunday Keepers. I as many of you was raised on and loved Christmas, Easter, Valentines, Halloween, etc. In addition I was taught to go to church on Sunday. Clearly NONE of these non-covenant / non-biblical observances can claim any portion of “the times before appointed, and the bounds of their habitation” (Acts 17:26).

The issue is there is a difference between Yahweh’s (not Jew’s) Lev.23 calendar of Sabbath and Feastdays (the relationship) and the world’s replacement contaminate calendar of Sunday and Holidays.

1Jn.2:6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. (Mt.24:20)

It is clear Yahshua kept the Sabbath and Feastdays – By His Father’s Command.

So ought we ie you – Study Deeply (2Tm.2:15) – Choose Wisely (Jos.24:15)

What Verse?

BibleHist

What Verse?

P— – @ What verse do you use in Exodus 32 to come up with the ending of circumcision?

This is the un-accounted for issue

The issue is; There is no mention in Torah that the Israelites every stopped circumcision; let alone at Exodus 32. The 40yr lapse of circumcision comes into play at Exodus 32 by way of Jos.5:5 – This verse in Joshua indicates that at some point pursuant to leaving Egypt all the males were circumcised.

Jos.5:5 goes on to plainly state that no male born in the wilderness was circumcised. Which raises the question – why? How could this be after seeing all the miracles? After corporately witnessing Yah and His power as no other group of people ever had? That they would benefit so greatly being freed from abject slavery and would just forget to circumcise all their male babies on the 8th day? Didn’t they love their children – wouldn’t they want their children ‘in’ – covered by the Covenant? With the larger question being – how could those in leadership including Moses allow this situation to persist – and at that for 40 years? With the largest question being – why would Yah accept this ongoing situation without an objection and still provide for them year after year for 40 years?

The question is – What event between initially leaving Egypt at Ex.12 and the witness of Jos.5:5 would cause the Israelites to stop circumcising all their males? Let alone babies on the 8th day for the next 40+yrs? The compelling answer is the ‘Golden Calf’ covenant-breach of Ex.32 (Rom.2:25). They were only 3 months out of Egypt (Ex.19:1) and had just vowed to keep the Covenant at Ex.24:7-8 – which they broke (Jer.31:32) some 40 days later (a total of 4+months). The beginning point of their 40 plus years wilderness wandering. After the covenant break they knew there was no longer any point.

Rom.2:25 For circumcision verily profiteth, if thou keep the law: but if thou be a breaker of the law, thy circumcision is made uncircumcision. – (The very Ex.32 point)

I’ll bet most of you have never heard any of this concerning circumcision in Sunday School, Sabbath School or Torah class – Have you? At least that first Passover in ‘the land’ of Canaan (soon to be Israel) finally was being kept while circumcised (Jos.5:10). Just in time for the famous – battle of Jericho (Jos.6); – all of Israel – finally had been circumcised. But look at all the questions that situation raises.

The setting of the Exodus Book of the Covenant (Ex.19:5-24:8) was the last time Moses ever saw a Melchizedek Israel keeping the Melchizedek Covenant. For after promising to keep the Covenant, Israel makes the Golden Calf (Ex.32); breaks the Covenant, defiles themselves and is no longer eligible to be that Melchizedek Priesthood (including Aaron and his sons). This ineligibility reigned for the next 15 centuries in the form of the Levitical Priesthood till Yahshua’s death and resurrection, – releasing Him (Rom.7:1/Gal.4:4) from the law (the category of Levitical Law Heb.7:11-12) to be – the Melchizedek High Priest (Heb.2:17; 3:1; 4:14-15; 5:5, 10; 6:20; 7:26; 8:1; 9:11; 10:21).

Today; in this Melchizedek era, for those New Testament / Gospel / Torah believers that will decide (as a religious observance) to physically circumcise; know that you are being obedient to the 2nd command of Jos.5:2 (after a 40 year circumcision lapse – Jos.5:5) under the Levitical Priesthood and not obedient to (said obedience issuing from) the 1st command of Gen.17 under the Melkizedeq Priesthood. For the 1st Com’d was broken, with a 40yr. lapse giving rise and need for a 2nd Com’d. Forever separating Gen.17 (the 1st Mlkzdq command) from Jos.5:2 (the 2nd Lvtcl command).

What is more; some lodge the question: – ‘Does Yahweh need to re-command anything?’

Good Point – By the witness/testimony of Ex.34, Jos.5:2, Jer.31:31-33, 2Cor.3:11, Gal.4, Heb.7:12, 1Pt.2:9, etc. – Yes! For physical circumcision (as a religious/covenant value) to be part of the (not like – Jer.31:32) New Covenant, the commandment to be physically circumcised must be stated in / added (re-commanded) to the instructions. You see the re-command to ‘circumcise the heart’ from Deut.10:16 & 30:6 was re-stated in the New Covenant / New Testament at Rom.7:6; Col.2:11, etc. However – The re-command – as a NC/NT command to physically circumcise never was!

Jn.12:50 And I know that his commandment is life everlasting: whatsoever I speak therefore, even as the Father said unto me, so I speak. (refutes 1ness theology)

Jn.12:12 also renders the Catholic/Protestant Palm Sunday/Easter story an impossibility – Jn.12:12 making it Abib 10 being the infamous ‘palm day’ – if a 1st day (Sunday) would make Abib 14 (Passover) Thurs not Friday. – OR – If Friday is adhered to, would make this Abib 10 ‘palm Monday’ – Then there is the 3day&3night problem, that can only be satisfied by a Wed. crucifixion that would make this Abib 10 ‘palm Saturday’ ie Sabbath. Making Thurs. the 1st day of UnlBrd Abib 15 (an annual Sabbath) the 1st full day in the tomb and the 7th day Sabbath the 3rd full day&night.

Then there is proof like that similar to John 7 & 8 concerning the feast of tabernacles, that refutes the timing of Lunar Sabbath proponents. Consider – Scenario 1] ‘If’ the Catholic/Protestant claim of Jn.12:12 ‘the **next day’ Abib 10 being ‘Palm Sunday’ (a 1st day) was correct; that would make Thursday (5th day) Abib 14 and Friday (6th day) Abib 15 – Both incompatible with Lunar Sabbath claims of both the 14th & 15th varieties. Scenario 2] ‘If’ Jn.12:12 ‘the **next day’ Abib 10 was ‘Palm Sabbath’ (a 7th day) that would make Wednesday (4th day) Abib 14 and Thursday (5th day) Abib 15 – Both incompatible with Lunar Sabbath claims of both the 14th & 15th varieties.

Consider – Scenario 2] is the only 1 that works being 3 full Days & 3 full Nights. Meaning Passover would be (by Torah Lev.23:5) on Wednesday (4th day) Abib 14 ie Passover and Thursday (5th day) Abib 15 would be the Annual Sabbath (by Torah Lev.23:6) of the 1st Day of Unleavened Bread – The (Annual) Sabbath Yahshua had to be taken down from the Cross/Stake before sunset. Rising at the tail end of the 7th Day Sabbath (Abib 17th) – further damaging the incompatible Lunar Sabbath claims of both the 14th & 15th varieties – in time for Sunday (1st Day) Abib 18 Wave Sheaf of First Fruits (Lev.23:10-11) that always had to be waved on a 1st Day after the 7th Day Shabbat – further damaging the incompatible Lunar Sabbath claims of both the 14th & 15th varieties.

For those that would object to the work of selecting the lambs on the Sabbath, let me remind you what the Ex.12 Command states; (Note – There is no other / There is no alternate)

Ex 12:3 Speak ye unto all the congregation of Israel, saying, In the tenth day of this month they shall
take to them every man a lamb, according to the house of their fathers, a lamb for an house:

Let me also remind you what Yahshua did say;

Mt.12:5 Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane
the sabbath, and are **blameless**?

Jn.12:1; 12 also proves that the Jews who ate Passover on Abib 15th against the Torah Command nevertheless obeyed Torah in that they did select the Lamb on the 10th of Abib according to Torah – Go figure?
